Lebanon Transit Seeks Maintenance Manager
General Information:
Lebanon Transit, the transit authority serving Lebanon County in South Central Pennsylvania, is seeking applications from qualified individuals to fill the position of Maintenance Manager.
The Maintenance Manager is a senior management position, responsible for leading the maintenance department to success. This position oversees all aspects of maintaining the Authority's 35-vehicle fleet, as well as ancillary equipment and facilities. This position is also responsible for the purchasing and capital equipment planning functions.
Applicant for this position should possess a Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field or trade school training in heavy-duty fleet vehicle maintenance and at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in fleet maintenance management. Our new Maintenance Manager will possess strong communication and leadership skills, an understanding of procurement procedures, budget preparation and execution, expertise in maintenance record keeping, inventory control methods and facilities management, experience managing in a union environment, and the ability to demonstrate through their own actions and work ethic just what they expect of their subordinates. Additional experience may substitute for some of the educational requirements.
