Hazleton Public Transit Seeks Transit Director

General Information:

Hazleton Public Transit (HPT) seeks to hire a Transit Director to oversee and manage the operations of a small transit agency in Hazleton's Department of Public Services. This full time position reports to the Mayor of Hazleton and is responsible for operations, administration of policies and procedures, supervision of employees and delivery of fixed route service in Luzerne County. Experience managing a transportation agency or a bachelor's degree in transportation, business, public policy or related field is required. The ideal candidate should possess financial acumen, communications skills, leadership and team building ability and project management skills.
