Clarion & Forest Counties Seek Transportation Contractor

General Information:

Clarion County and Forest County (the Counties) are jointly investigating the hiring of a contractor to handle the day-to-day management, administration and operation of human service transportation that is currently operated independently by the two Counties.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks a single vendor to plan for and manage a coordinated human service transportation system that includes but is not limited to general public Shared Ride, Shared Ride for Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Medical Assistance Transportation Services (MATP) in Clarion and Forest Counties, Pennsylvania.

A pre-proposal conference is scheduled in the Commissioners Conference Room, 1st Floor at 1:00 p.m. on 9/16/10. Firms planning to submit proposals are encouraged, but not required to attend. Proposals are due by 10/11/10.

The Counties are requesting proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide:

  • 1. An evaluation of the two existing systems/services;

  • 2. A transition plan to move into contracted management and operations; and

  • 3. An implementation plan for the management and operation of human service transportation for Clarion County alone or for both Clarion and Forest Counties.
