This message pertains to a fuel leak that occured on one of our 2007 Gillig coaches with the Cummins ISL engine. The fuel pressure sensor located on the fuel rail sits directly above the engine ECM. The chemicals in the fuel that leaked from the sensor deteriorated the insulation on the engine ECM wiring harness. The insulation on the ECM wiring harness gets very soft and shrivels therefore, allowing the bare copper of the wires to be exposed. Please contact me if you find this concern. I have sent messages to Cummins and Gillig. Regards, Dan |
