Nice to hear from you Keith. We do both depending on if I need the bus back early to PM or need to run a different bus to check something out on that bus. If not the driver picks up a company car to go to the exchange point.

Still here. At BCTA we also use Fleetnet.
Another Question ? On your full time fixed
routes at the end of a driver's shift do
you slip seat the drivers or do you
send out another bus with the new
driver ??

At BARTA we use TransitFleet for our maintenance software. It is relatively new to the industry. The response to any ERROR that occurs is satisfied within 60 minutes. Most times it is only several minutes.Inventory, fuel, P.M.s, vehicle maintenance, all aspects of cost reports: daily, weekly, monthly, etc. by vehicle, vehicle group, whole department etc.
There are more modules that are currently being developed.
We are also open to a demo.
Regards,
Dan

LANTA uses Dossier 32 from Arsenault Associates of Berlin, NJ. It was an inexpensive system that we use for tracking mileage, fuel and oil consumption, scheduling PM inspections and vehicle repair history. It has the ability to track specific parts used, but our inventory system is linked into Accounting therefore we don't use it.

Cindy,
CAT Maintenance is using Fleet Net, it does track costs however it is terrible when it comes to trying to generate a report.

We use Manager Plus, co. name Qqest Asset Management Services LLC. www.qqest.com or #800-730-9809. Tracks cost-parts used/vehicle or group and is easy to use.

USTA is using Fleet Maintenance Software to track their maintenance records, including fuel usage, PM's, etc. Is there something that you are using that is user friendly to track cost/vehicle?
