Gary, I just ordered a F-350 through Day Fleet Sales, They have a state contract through Central Westmoreland Council of Government. It is very easy and you can get any options you want including tools.

Steve,
We purchased a Thieman TopLifter, model TT-15 with a mesh grate steel deck platform. The guys can see through the deck when backing up & while plowing.

Gary,
We haven't but we plan to next year. And we are considering a truck like you are, however we may go with a small dump body instead of a utility body so we could haul snow away.
We are also installing a lift gate on one of our other service trucks. They come in handy.
Good luck.

Gary,
We purchased a service truck using COSTARS in 2009. Chevrolet Silverado 2500 extended cab with a plow & power lift gate. Ditto what Mark said "you pick what you want."

Gary,
We did not purchase a service truck however we did purchase a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD dump truck. I utilized the COSTARS program which gives you greater control over getting what you want verses "low bid".
