Mark,
We give the drivers hand sanitizer to use. We also use a product called Airx-15 to clean the interiors they use it hospitals & nursing homes.

The earlier aluminum wheels we use a product from ZEP called Lustre Wash, you spray it on & hose it off, works very well. We have since starting ordering the Dura-Brite finish on the aluminum much easier to keep clean! Like Steve said about $50 extra but well worth the cost.

Mark, we are providing hand sanitizer dispensers at different locatioins. We are also going to provide the drivers with hand sanitizer wipes to wipe off the steering wheel, farebox, and drivers area.
As for aluminum wheels, we first ordered them without the "Dura-Bright" coating and they are very hard to keep clean. You need to use some type of aluminum cleaner which has some acid in it. The wheels with "Dura-Bright" stay nice and are much easier to keep clean. I think it cost about $50 extra per wheel but is worth it.
Another issue is corrosion where the tire bead is. You need to keep the bead area clean.
I think they look nice but like everything else, do require maintenance.

Mark,
Sorry I didn't get back to you the other day. We use a product called H2Orange2 for general cleaning of the interiors. It is an approved hospital sanitizer. We use it in a 10-1 concentration for all cleaning of the floors and areas that need to be wiped down. We also spray Lysoldisenfectant in the buses.

1) What is anybody doing to prepare for the H1N1 influenza virus? Have you come across any products that are applicable to buses?
2) Does anybody have aluminum wheels and how do you clean and care for them?
Thanks - Mark
