I don't have camera's on my vehicles but sounds like alot of you are having issues with "Safety Vision". maybe we should invite a representative from "Safety Vision" to one of our meetings to address some of the concerns. Sounds like they have not been real responsive to some of you. They are on the State Specs as an approved equal for "on board digital recording system". Seems to me they should respond to our issues. |

Dan, We do not have any security cameras on buses yet but we are looking into it. We have been hearing these same negative rumblings about Safety Vision. Mark |

Dan we are currently using safety vision also. Not a lot of problems but do have drives getting corrupted freqently. Last two buses have the new and improved hard drives. Don't know how they will hold up yet since they are fairly new. Our sales rep has been extremely coopertive with us in the past. Gary have you downloaded the new software yet for the new hard drives? |

At EMTA we use REI(from the state bid), the first series had some hard drive problems, but the new ones we just got work quite well |

We use Safety Vision. Older version (600040)was easy to view cameras on the bus, and viewing saved events on the harddrive wasn't to bad. The last 3 units we put in are the 600040Pro, which has a different HD, you hook up the laptop a little different. We have not been able to view the HD's on these buses yet, not sure if its our problem or they have not given us the right information. Working on this now.The last install was the worst we have had and I am not happy with the response from my sales rep at this time. Can't give a complete thumbs up on lasted version yet. |

Dan, RRTA has REI Bus Watch. The system we were buying from 2003 to 2008 had and continues to be high maintenance. They changed to a different DVR and hard drive and we are not experiencing any problems with them. Steve |

Dan same story @ RVT with Safety Vision. Our new Gillig's came with GE & they seem to work good. We've been converting our other buses to GE as we have issues. Denny |

We also have safety vision, and like yours, it seems to work when it wants too. |

We have "Safety Vision" security system on our vehicles. It seems to work when it wants to. I would like to know if you have a camera system on your vehicles. What brand and model and vendor/manufacturer info. Does it work? Pros and Cons. Respectfully, Dan |
