Carl, Sorry I will not be in attendance however my biggest complaint with the process is this: when the checklist tells you to reference the PCID to make sure the item meets the requirement, the PCID doesn't always give measurable information. A good example of this is for brakes- the PCID says the wheels shall have the heaviest available from OEM. How does a mechanic know if it is in fact the heaviest available when there is no measurable spec to compare it against? Generally speaking it is not a bad format, we just need a little more information to go on. Mark |

As you know the spec meeting is next week. One of the main points I would like to emphasize is the Vehicle Inspection check list. I am asking ***all*** Maintenance Directors/Managers whether you are attending or not to give this some deep thought and be prepared to discuss this at the meeting. If you are not attending please send your thoughts to me by Monday the 16th. I would appreciate everyones support on this as I value your opinion. We will be using PCID 1114,1120 and the options list for discussion purposes at the meeting. I am attaching the Current Vehicle checklist, you will have to enter the forum to open the atachment. Thanks for your help ....Carl |
