Gary, RVT tries to purchase items that are made in USA. You don't have that choice with some of the smaller bearings. Like Mark said a lot of the stuff from bus manufactures is OEM. Denny |

Gary when it comes to bearings we will only use "Made in USA". We specify this to all our suppliers. Most of the bearings are Timken. Sometimes they are Timken in a different box. This also applies to lug nuts and wheel studs. They must all be "Made in the USA" Steve |

Gary, We also have a tendency to buy the least expensive, however when it comes to buying wheel bearings we stick with Timken. Also since we are predominately a Gillig fleet, we do a lot of parts business with Gillig, they only sell OEM stuff so it's hard to go wrong. Mark |

When buying bearing, do you 1)look for best price, 2) look for made in USA 3) buy locally only. Timken is a made in USA company, NTN is put together in the USA, what is everyones thoughts. I tend to do number 1!! |
