I believe that the system Bob is talking about is a universal securement that has one part anchored to the wheelchair and a docking station on the bus. The person using the chair backs into the locking device and the part attached to the bus floor automatically locks onto the hitch on the wheelchair. A similar device was used by Anchorage transit several years ago. Several of these devices have been developed. One problem is finding a place to attach the hitch part to the users wheelchair. |

I am also of the understanding that they do not meet current ADA specs. They used to work pretty good. Doug |

Bob, RVT had the wheel locks that you backed into & they would clamped around the wheels. We have not seen these since the early 80's. We heard they don't meet ADA requirements. In case of a roll over they would not hold a wheelcahir. I don't know if this is the same thing you are looking for or not? We hear they are not made anymore? Denny |

We are looking in to a scrument system that you back into and it hooks on to a wheel. They say (people at PSU,) they are out there that will work on any chair or Scooter. I have a Flyer from EZ/LOCK. Any Idea's? Thanks Bob |
