Mark,
RVT gives out savings bonds for every 3 months of perfect attendance. We also give out savings bonds for yearly perfect attendance & employees receive one day off with pay. We also have a maintenance person of the year award. They receive a $200.00 savings bond & have their picture in the newspaper. We use a grading system which takes into account attendance, safety record, driving record etc. We also have a maintenance safety award which takes into account any chargeable accidents or work related injuries.

Amtran has "WOW" (co. wide, anyone doing something little extra to normal work) and "ABCD" award(Above and Beyond the Call of Duty)rare/special. We also give pins and letter from GM for 5-10-etc. years of service. All union employees-if go calendar year with no accident they get extra personal day off. We give gift certificates to all employees for each 30 days we go without a preventable accident, starting w/$10 for 60 days and increases every 30 days by $5.00 until we have an accident? Plus we feed them at the same time as each of these 30 days!Hope that helps!!

Mark,
We don't have anything specifically for maintenance but we have employee appreciation dinner/picnic and hand out years of service pins and draw some door prizes. (usually gift certificates to local restaurants etc.)

Does anyone have "Recognition and Awards" programs for maintenance personnel. If so could you tell me what types of awards are given, such as years of service or attendance. Could you also tell me what form the award is given, such as a pin to wear or a signed letter from the G.M.
Thanks-Mark
