We have not had any brake problems of any kind as of yet. Our Gillig's have close 20k miles on them. |

Steve, Most of the driver complaints we get on our buses that have ABS seem to be what they call "popping and pulling". These buses are 2001 ElDorado Transmarks and 2004 & 2005 LF Gilligs. We've never seemed to get to the bottom of it except to grease the S-cams and slacks- that temporarily "fixes" the problem. We don't get complaints for dragging. |

Anybody that has received Gillig buses in 2004-05-06 please bring your bus specs to the PENNTAPS course next week. I think we need to get together and discuss all our brake problems there seems to be. |

I have 17 2005 GILLIGS. The only brake concern at this time is the brake squeel on 2 buses. If we have any other concerns I will let you know |

Has anyone who puruchased Gillig buses in 2005 experienced problems with brakes that won't release or seem to drag. We have 3 or 4 buses that drivers have complained of the brakes hanging up after they have been released by the foot brake. When we get them to the shop they operate properly. We did find one bus that had excessive play in the front and rear camshafts. We installed new camshafts and bushings and have had one complaint since then. One person thought they heard the ABS or ATC valves operating when the bus took off. We checked for ABS codes and there were none. If anyone has experienced any problem similar let me know. Thanks, Steve |
