Hello Everybody, Old subject, new question, Is anyone planning a purchase of a touchless wash system? We are putting the wheels in motion for a system and I am looking for input. Thanks John |

Gary, CAT bought a ROSS & WHITE system in 1997. Very few problems. It has 4 brushes with undercarriage rinse and high pressure wheel washers. Brushes seem to cause only very minor scatching of the buses. |

Gary, BARTA is getting a new wash system. We put it out to bid and NS Systems got the award. It will be the 4 brush with under carriage and wheel wash. My understanding from what I read in other books is the brushless system washes 100% of the bus but, only gets about 80% of the dirt off and with the brush system it washes about 80% of the bus and gets 100% of the dirt off. |

Gary We just put a new N/S system in back in December. It's a two brush system. You are more than welcome to come down and take a peek at it if you want. So far it's working great. We didn't really get into comparison so much since we pretty much had companies quote the same type system that we had. We didn't get wheels or undercarriage wash. It does have reclaim system which we had with the old one. Gabe from ATA was just down yesterday to look at it. Give me a call if you have any questions. If not I'll see you in a couple weeks at State College. Terry |

Just a note from Altoona, we are thinking about replacing our bus wash this year or next year also, so I too am interested in anything you guys have in the way of information;2 or 3 or brushless, pre and post wash, undercarriage sprays, installation cost, etc. Our present wash is a SSI. Does take a mirror once in a while, got a Int. windshield also!! Very sensitive limit switches!! |

Terry, Red Rose has a 25 year old Ross & White 3 brush system. High maintenance but it does a nice job. However it does like to break the mirrors on our new buses. Their number is 847-516-3900 |

Terry, WBT has a Sherman Supersonic Industries Corp. bus wash. David Newell 1-888-421-3177 ext 300 or 1-716-694-3123. It's a two brush system. When we purchase another one I would like to get a brushless wash. Denny |

Can some of you guys get back to me with info on the type of bus wash systems your using and the manufacturers. Any contact info would be helpful also. We are replacing a simple two brush system that works well for us but the system is just running out of gas. Thanks alot!!! |
