When I got to BCTA they were using Lubrisol. I discontinued using it because of fuel tank issues with the product. It is easy to over saturate the fuel tanks and cause fuel filter issues, etc. I spoke with Cummins tech line and said that the only time you should use a product like that is if you have a problem. We do not run biodiesel so I recommend having the fuel sampled before proceeding. Going backwards on the product has really helped our fleet. |

Mark, RRTA uses an Asphaltene prevention additive that is put in the fuel when the trailer is filled at the rack. It is PPC Performance Plus HPFI. It also helps with lubricity. Here is a link about the product. We pay 1.5 cents a gallon for it. http://www.trailsideexpress.com/downloads/Performance-Plus-HPFI-Brochure.pdf |

we are using several products for diesel fuel issues,we use a cleaner in crank case before oil changes, we use a fuel cleaner at that time and we are now treating our bulk fuel tank. We use products from BG PRODUCTS. Our pittsburg rep is Anthony C. @1 678 618 2764 CELL,1 800 788 2383 OFFICE IN PITTSBURGH |

Do any of my esteemed colleagues use any diesel fuel additives to improve fuel lubricity? It seems that we go through a lot of fuel pumps and injectors on the Cummins ISBs. We are using B2 Biodiesel. |
