Hi, I have operated CNG buses for years. The tests are very difficult and there is a lot of liability, compliance updates, etc. I use GAS and other vendors to my inspections and certifications. In California I paid about $250-$300 per bus depending on vendor and time frame. Hope this helps. |

Bob check out cleanvehicle.org then in the lower right hand corner click on (NGV Cylinder Saftey, Training and Inspection program). About the middle of the page you will see (Where can I find a qualified CNG cylinder inspector) and a highlighted click here. Fill in the information and search. I did see Cleveland Brothers has a couple people listed in PA. We have 2 certified people here that have to now actually go back and recertifiy. It must be done every 3 years and cost around $450 per person. They said it is a tough test. I had Bill McGlinchey of AFV Training come in and do a complete training course with all of our maintenance staff and then sent a couple of techs to get certified. If you have any other questions give me a call at 814-238-2282 x5160. Mark |
