We're having an abundance of false alarms because of the beam/smoke detectors. We just wanted to know if anyone else was having any of these issues and what was done to correct the situation.

Denny,
We have sprinklers and gas detection that will trip the alarms if activated.

Denny,
Our 1902 building only has smoke and heat sensors that are/were very sensitive. No sprinkler system.

Denny,
We have a sprinkler system in conjunction with smoke and heat detectors. We have not encountered any problem in the bus storage building.

RVT would like to know what everyone is using for building fire supression in the bus parking areas? How many properties are using sprinklers? Those properties that are using a sprinkler system, is your system using anything in combination with the sprinkler? Smoke or fire beam detectors? The smoke beam detectors we're using seem to very sensitive. The smallest amount of dust or even the pressure washer exhaust sets off an alarm.
