BARTA Places a public bid. All can bid at that time. We do not create a private bid process for public owned vehicles. Thanks, Dan |

Carl, We do the same as Mark and use Public Surplus. I will post it internally just to let everyone know that it is up for bid at Public Surplus. |

Carl, We have no such policy either. We sell all of our vehicles on the "Public Surplus" website where anybody, including employees, can bid on them. Mark |

Carl, We use Public Surplus auction web site. Anyone can bid on the vehicles. The auction site is free for the seller but the buyers need to register and pay a fee. We have had drivers bid on vehicles but never won any of the auctions. We will not sell to an employee before the auction. If they want it they have to bid on it. Steve |

Our Staff or Service vehicle we put an ad in the newspaper and anyone can bid employees or public. With our Fleet vehicle we take to a local auction house where an employee could go purchase it if they are so inclined. |

Same as everyone else. They can bid for it on Ebay. Who posted that last bit of information. Is this a reliable source? |

At SEPTA we don't allow employees to purchase a vehicle that was assigned to them. Employees were screwing with things so it would go cheap and then they would know what was wrong with it. |

Carl, LANta doesn't have a policy for this. We allow our employees to bid on the vehicles as part of the general sale only. Randy |
