Terry, There are ghosts in our operations. We all have them. In this case it is the lack of understanding that kicks you on the Amerex System. In their Service manual pg. 40 it reads; The SERVICE life of the Electrical Actuator is 6 years after which time it needs to be replaced. SHELF life is 12 years for this actuator. PN 14036, Gillig PN 5328158030. It is servicable without discharging the system. Call around to get pricing to recharge and service the 25lb. bottle. Range from $300. to $1200. including a new actuator. We had three on our 2003 New Flyers in year 8 of their age and 1 on our 2005 Gilligs. We now service them during the P.M.I. We are close to year 8 for our (17) 2005 Gilligs. Let me know if we can help. Regards, Dan |

This morning we had one of our 2007 Gilligs in the garage waiting for the radiator to be replaced, no one was within fifty feet of it (luckily) then the Amerex system goes off. Has anyone had this happen. I know from time to time we can say vehicles have ghosts in them but I'm starting to think it may not be a figure of speech. |
