Mark. Since we purchased outright we can also buy from who ever we want. Check with Atlantic coast petroleum. They deliver bulk also. They are a subsiderary of isobunkers.

Steve,
Due to space restrictions we could not go the tote route. We contracted with an independent installer (Haldeman Equipment Co in Manheim) to install a 200 gallon vertical poly tank. The tank is twenty feet from our service area. The installation included the poly tank, diaphragm pump, in line filter, def hose reel, nozzle, and stainless steel piping etc. for $4,900.00. I liked this set up because we can buy bulk DEF from whoever we want, only problem is in my area PPC is the only one doing bulk deliveries, @ 3.18 per gallon.

Good morning Steve. I just did that about three weeks ago. I got mine from PPC Lubricants. They seemed the most knowledgeable about the equipment and pricing was right. In addition they had a 330 gallon tote that was included with the equipment purchase. The total price for the equipment was 1537.95. That included the tote, stainless steel nozzle, pump, 20' of hose and a meter. A really nice setup. I paid 2.27 a gallon for the blue def to fill it. Nice thing with. Them is they deliver everything in one truck. Tote is empty to offload it and set in place. The. They pump the def out of there tote on the truck to fill yours. Check them out.

Steve,

Gary and I were just discussing this as he's getting ready to take some new buses as well. Here's what I have:

We purchase the DEF from Penn Detroit Diesel. It is a PPC product. PPC supplies us with a 330 gallon tote, pump, and dispenser- we did not have to sign a contract, just an agreement to purchase their product. If we would choose to purchase a different company's product, we tell them and they will remove their tote. If there are any pump issues, i.e. a short out or a break in the hose, they'll gladly replace it at no charge. The dispenser handle is even metered to show the gallons dispensed per vehicle.

We simply dropped the whole unit in our washbay. We order the DEF through Penn-- I beleiev our last cost was $2.79 / gallon.

I did some research before we bought-- and everyone I talked to said PPC had a very high quality product.

I'm not sure who your PPC distributor would be, but if you contact them, they'll let you know.

If you need any other info, let me know.

I am getting ready to purchase a 275 gallon tote of Urea for our new Hybrids. I'm curious what those of you who purchased it are paying. Also what did you pay for the pump setup or did the vendor include that with the tote?

Thanks,
Steve
