I'm having problems also and they all relate to the particulate trap. Some time ago we instituted a practice to MANUALLY REGEN all of our buses equipped with particulate traps at least once a month. This has seemed to help but these buses are still more problematic than the others. Just keep in mind this is what they call "progress". |

Nothing related to urea but lots of exhaust and particulate problems on almost all my buses. Just like you, some are spending more time in the shop than on the road. Replaced many turbos and turbo actuators on my 07's and up. Can not give you any suggestions because it seems I can't get any answers likewise. |

Anyone have any ideas?: We’ve been having trouble with one of our new buses. Bus #107 has accumulated roughly 26,000 miles in its time here at CamTran; we’ve had it in service since October. In April, we sent it to our local Cummins warranty shop for repair; several codes tripped, active and inactive, all pertaining to the after treatment (urea) system, they addressed the issues and the bus was returned to service. Three days later, we sent it back to the Cummins shop for a similar diagnosis; all after treatment and exhaust related. Currently, it’s at the Cummins dealer again for exhaust and after treatment related codes; some are the same as before, but some are new. This bus is spending more time in the sop than one the road! We have seven of these buses and this is the only one that we’re having this trouble with. Any ideas where to start? Even the Cummins guys are confused! |
