Thanks to all for responses about cameras! We are going to put one on ea. Fr. side pointed back and the rear HVAC door camera. As stated this should help with customer problems!

Gary, We have a camera on the curbside front facing toward the rear on our 2010 fixed route buses. We have a camera on each side of the paratransit vehicles, top front facing toward the rear. These cameras work well. They answer a lot of questions that come from some passenger's comments.

We don't use exterior cameras except for a few buses with backup cameras. No issues with those.

RVT has an exterior camera mounted above the entrance door that provides a curbside view. RVT also have an interior forward facing camera that provides a view out the front windshield. The camneras are checked evry PM and repaired if needed.

Gary,

We have exterior cameras-- one mount curbside and street side at the top rear of the bus; this gives us a full length view. The only issue we have with these cameras is low-hanging tree limbs knocking them around. Occasionally, we have to replace one.

RVT has an exterior camera mounted above the entrance door which provides a curbside view alongside the bus. RVT also has an interior forward facing camera mounted below the destination sign which provides a view outside the front of the bus. The camera system is checked every PM.
