Mark, CAT has never had this type of inspection either. Thanks for the possible heads-up. Mark |

FYI, This morning we had a surprise Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspection. They checked 14 buses, all very basic stuff. Lights, saftey equipment, low air buzzer, owners card, insurance card. We had no violations. I asked if they wanted to look under a bus and they said no, not this time. They were very easy going but may stop back at any time. In my 23 years here we have never had this done before and the one inspector that has been doing this said he has never done a transit bus before in the 23 years he has been an inspector either but due to a change in regulations a few years ago that transit buses do now fall under there jurisdiction. What we could find out was that they are correct and that we were the first authority in the state to have this done. If you have any questions, e mail or give me a call. mkutzer@catabus.com 814-238-2282 |
