What company would you contact to get a quote for the PSION? Is it Barcoding Inc?
Thanks, Dan

Gary,
We use the PSION scanners. They are a wireless hand-held unit that has no distance limitations. It stores the information and the data gets uploaded into the computer thru a docking station on a daily basis. We've had them since 04 and they have been very reliable in an abusive setting.

Gary,
We're using wireless scanners made by Data Port, powered by palm. They are part of our Antero inventory/work order sysytem. We have three scanners, one for the mechanics to charge out parts on the work orders. One for the people that do the data entry. One other is for my use. They work aywhere inside the building.

Gary,
We just started using one from DataLogic. It is hard wired through a USB connection. So far there have been no issues; it is convenient and accurate.

Gary,
We use Metrologic MS9500 Voyager scanners. They are connected to the keyboard with a "Y" connector. We only have one in the parts office. It is used to scan the parts into the workorder.
We will be going to a wireless scanner when we get the new software.
Shane, would you please forward me the information on your scanners also.

Thanks,
Steve

Gary,
Right now we are working on installing a scanner system. The Maintenance Software we run is FleetNet and we're linking our Psion Brand scanners to the system. I believe you can purchase these scanners seperately to run on other software, but they are great. We have a fairly large building and an adequate wireless LAN set-up, so we won't have any trouble from the front to the back of our building (100yds+/-)
I think I have some paperwork on them if you'd like me to e-mail it.

Who is doing bar code scanning at their facility? What type and make of scanner is it- wireless, hard wired. What is the range for the wireless for distance, any problems? Thanks
