...I'll just keep adding to it; we've found that the Neihoff's are junk. The 50DN's have been great for us. Also, like Gary, we use a 120# keg pumped throughout the shop. |

dido on the dead horse. As for greasing we have a 120 lb. keg, works great, long hose extension on the trigger so getting into places like the rear slacks, etc. |

Mark, I can only dito what Steve & Dan have said about Niehoff products no since beating a dead horse. Stay with the 50DN if you can. RVT has a keg of grease mounted on a dolly with a Graco air pump on the keg. We can move it anywhere we need. Worked great since I have been here. |

Mark, We have the C-706 on our Optimas and the Gillig Hybrid with the Cummins ISB02. The regulators are crap. We have had 3 of the alternators that the windings separated and this caused hot sparks to be scattered all over the engine compartment. We have surveyed many avenues to change the system to accomodate the 50DN and have not found a suitable combination. We have a distribution system for the most used areas. We also have a drum for the remote areas in the shop. We installed the system last year and it works well. One drum services 3 locations in the shop. We in stalled a pump lift on the drum for easy changing. |

Mark, We have been using the Niehoff C706 for 8 years and compared to the 50DN, they are junk. We were replacing regulators every month it seemed at first. Niehoff does not recommend remote mounting ther regulator but we finally had them provide us with a harness and that solved 95% of the problems. So the bottom line is they don't compare to a 50 DN. Plus the cost of a rebuilt unit is $1700 from our local supplier. 2. We have a central lube system pumped from a 55 gallon drum to a grease gun in every other bay. It works very well. |

1)Does anyone have experience with Niehoff alternators and if so how do you like them? How do they compare to Delco 50DN. 2)What kind of equipment do you use to do grease jobs? Cartridge type, Keg, distribution system-likes/dislikes. Thanks-Mark Mitchell |
