Shane, We have been using 5w-30 semi-synthetic in all of our gasoline powered equipment for several years now. Even though we are using a semi-synthetic motor oil, we still change it out about 5,000 miles. We've had virtually no mechanical issues since switching, we were having some problems with the V-10s prior to the switch. The semi-synthetic is also a little more forgiving if you don't get the oil changed out exactly on time. Mark Mitchell |

Shane, hear at the Endless Mountains Transportation we use 15-40 Shell Rotella after the warranty period. We also use a motor oil additive called BG-110. It is awsome. We use it with every oil change. It only cost $5.10 each. We consitantly get over 200,000 miles on our cutaways diesel or gas with no engine problems. They also make a excellant transmission cleaner and conditioner for flushing the transmission. You can google BG Products for a dealer near you. I highly recommend it....Carl |

Have any of you tried running fully or blended synthetic oils in your cutaways? Have you noticed any differences in vehicle life? General wear and tear? Oil leaks? Any other issues? We've been considering it because of our 5000mi PM schedule. Thanks. |
